Minnesota Independent School District 16, Spring Lake Park contacted Designer Sign Systems to assist in improving its High School building identification. The existing building had the school name built directly within the wall using tile that was ineffective. Designer Sign Systems proposed applying large aluminum panels directly over the existing sign tiles thus preserving the original historical element.
By using painted aluminum panels that matched the other architectural elements on the building we were able to provide signage that looked as if it belonged. Then adding fabricated black lettering and painted accent bar the sign clearly stands out while complimenting the building. As a result traffic on the adjacent highway traveling at 55 mph are able to clearly identify the building from a distance.
The school communications department provided very positive feedback immediately after the installation.
